Growing up in St. Louis, MO, Lauren always wanted to be an Interior Designer.
After earning a degree in Art and Business from University of Richmond, Lauren worked in the Bronx, NY teaching first graders through an Americorps program. While teaching during the day, she took night classes at the New York School of Interior Design, fulfilling her true passion. Lauren and her husband were then transferred to London for six years where she worked at Scalamandre in the Cheslea Harbour Design Centre and at the Pierre Frey Showroom.
This work experience, along with some initial design projects for friends, helped her launch Lauren Walsh Interiors in 2015.
Lauren prides herself in creating relationships with her clients and keeping the process as relaxed and enjoyable as possible (that’s the Midwesterner in her). She loves using color, pattern, and wallpaper to create classic, timeless interiors that will stand up to the rigors of family life.
While her style is a mixture of her mom’s traditional decorating influence and her British work experience, she adds an eclectic twist. It’s that style that harmonizes classic New England tradition and modern everyday living. And, understanding mom life…wanting to have nice things that the kids won’t destroy.
Lauren, her husband, three children, and their two dogs reside outside of Boston, MA, and also spend time in Kennebunk, ME.
